News for May 2008

Last night, Manchester United beat Chelsea 6–5 on penalties in the final in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, after a 1–1 draw in normal time. With this win, they earned their third European Cup title and kept up their record of never having lost a major European final.

doodledoMOTION's client, Channel M were in Moscow to cover the event, and we produced a 30 promo spot to promote their Champions League coverage.

Coincidentally, this season marked the 100th year since Manchester United won their first League title, 50 years after the Munich air disaster and 40 years after Manchester United became the first ever English side to win the European Cup.

The European Cup final also saw Ryan Giggs make his 759th appearance for the club, overtaking Bobby Charlton as the club's record appearance maker.

Channel M will be hosting a Champions League Day, when Manchester United take on arch-rivals Chelsea in Moscow, competing to be crowned Champions of Europe!

doodledoMOTION are, of course, currently producing a promo for the day, so keep an eye out on SKY channel 203 - we think it's pretty nice!

Unfortunately the budget doesn't stretch to tickets for the game, so we'll be enjoying it from afar, and since Gareth was once MUTV's promos director, we're obliged to  support the local team!
