To celebrate the 30th anniversay of Fawlty Towers, G.O.L.D. has thrown open the doors of TV's most famous hotel once more after a lengthy absence, and Doodledo Motion have provided all the graphics for 2 documentaries commissioned by UKTV, and produced by Tiger Aspect.

It's all the more special since it's the first time in 30 years that Connie Booth has given an interview about the series, so it's certainly been generating a lot of interest this last week as you can see on the BBC News website.  Many of the show's original cast, including John Cleese, Prunella Scales and Andrew Sachs, have also taken part in the shows.

The first programme - 'Fawlty Towers Re-Opened' - went out last night to great reviews and 350,000 viewers on its first showing, and dM produced the titles for this in-depth documentary.

The second 2-hour show - 'Fawlty Exclusive: Basil's Best Bits' - airs this Sunday night at 9pm, and dM have supplied opening titles, episode guides, interview backgrounds, as well as various other in-programme graphics.

Ricky Keleher, Tiger Aspect's Head of Factual Entertainment said: "What sets them apart is the astonishing depth of quality to their work, the attention they pay to the tiny details and their determination to go the extra mile to integrate their work into the body of a show.  And in addition to all that, they are all never less than charming, patient and accommodating to deal with."

Thanks to illustrator Rob Lee who worked really hard alongside us to provide original drawings for the 3D model of the highly-detailed Fawlty Towers hotel!

'Fawlty Exclusive: Basil's Best Bits' will be broadcast on G.O.L.D at 9pm on Sunday 17th May (Sky 110, Virgin 126, Top Up TV 17)
