Paul Merton In Europe

Brief

To produce high quality titles and maps for Paul Merton's latest travel documentary series for Five.

Solution

Making use footage of Paul from the show, we rotoscoped him out of the original rushes, and placed him in a graphically stylised Europe.

Working closely with the series producer and directors, dM were able to provide a distinctive title sequence, and complementary maps to be used across all six episodes.

Intelipac Animation

Brief

To produce a short motion graphics sequence for intelligent packaging specialists Intelipac in conjunction with MC2 who rebranded them. Intelipac needed a creative way to communicate its closed-loop approach to helping clients create environmentally friendly packaging solutions from their own waste products.

Solution

We decided to have two very definitive sections to the piece. The first, would be slightly darker with recycled textures and highlight the problems facing large companies and the responsibilities and government targets they are obliged to achieve. The second section would be more colourful and vibrant! The weight lifted and the presentation of Intelipac's solution.

We came up with the phrase "What if looking after the planet didn't cost the earth?" which Intelipac have now adopted in other areas of their marketing and online presence. You can view the video on their site:

College Video Prospectus

Brief

To produce a promotional video prospectus for the college to enhance recruitment and reputation and to help publicise it's excellent record, results and teaching standards.

The college wanted to stand out from the crowd and to adopt a more creative style than standard corporate videos and to highlight key areas of Applied Science and Computing.

Solution

M spent 2 days at the college and filmed students taking part in lessons, and also shot a number of interviews which were edited within a very graphic-styled interface.

We wanted to hint at the computer specialisms within the school without excluding the rest of what is a varied and quality curriculum. By creating this faux digital interface, it provided us with a vehicle with which to build pace, intrigue and aesthetic into the piece.

Manchester agency MC2 were simultaneously designing printed materials and we were able to work with their style guides for the client who has been absolutely thrilled with the results.

MacWet Gloves Promotional Video

Brief

To produce a creative corporate video which could be used by sales staff and online to promote the unique properties of the MacWet sports glove and to increase it's appeal across all sports in which the glove would be effective but was not currently a market leader.

Solution

Our final piece for MacWet was designed so that elements could be used apart from each other. We created an animated intro sequence that could later become an ident or web banner of it's own. The central segment was a 'sciency' presenter led infomercial, communicating the technical aspects of the glove. The final section made use of high profile testimonials, which again, could stand alone and be repackaged for sports specific marketing if necessary. The client has been delighted with the results. It has received over 600 hits in it's first month on YouTube and the video has been successful in securing retailers for the brand.

Take a look

As well as the version on here you can view the video on our Vimeo Channel or else you can view it on YouTube.

Drama Trails

Brief

To produce high quality graphics forming the basis of links between ITV's most famous dramas.

Solution

A 3D modelled pin-board that would look like a detective had been gathering evidence of these links. The 3D modelling allowed dM to get incredibly close up to objects such as map pins and polaroids, providing a rich aesthetic and identity for the series.
