Five's Celebrity Quitters

Another programme that dM have produced graphics for makes its debut this evening on Five.

'Celebrity Quitters' - a ten-part reality series from Tiger Aspect, will run nightly for 2 weeks, and features Linda Robson, John Burton Race, Chloe Madeley, Paul Danan and Derek Acorah as they all try to give up smoking.

doodledoMOTION have provided titles and graphics for both the main show, and the online content which can be seen on Five's website.

And this morning, Linda Robson appeared on BBC's Breakfast to promote the show, and the main graphic we produced appeared on the big screen behind them throughout the interview.

The 10-part series starts tonight on Five at 7.30pm, and of course you can also catch the other programme we've recently worked on - 'Paul Merton In Europe' - at 9pm.

'Paul Merton In Europe' on Five

If you're not doing anything tonight, then you should watch a new series that's starting on Five tonight at 9pm, which sees Paul Merton following on from his China and India documentaries with a typically unconventional 6 week exploration of Europe.

Oh, and we also produced the titles and maps for all the shows, so that's even more of a reason to watch!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Well, a new year brings lots of things, but I don't think we were expecting quite as much snow as has appeared today in Manchester! Most of my neighbours gave up on attempting to get to work today, and instead opted for a giant snowball fight, but I braved the snowy roads and eventually got into work a lot later than I planned. Pulling into the office carpark, the realisation hit that maybe that wasn't the best move, as I found James trying to get his car out , having been stuck in there for about an hour!

A genius idea of using carpet tiles to build a track for the car to drive on meant we were eventually able to get out, and we parked on a nice flat bit of road on the front! So we started the day a little bit late, but at least we can now get on with our work!

We also welcome Keiko White who's joining us on a 2 week internship. She's currently studying in New York, and hopefully the snow won't stop her getting in for the rest of her time here in England!

Marketing Manchester's Visual Report

doodledoMOTION have recently put together a 10 minute edit for Marketing Manchester in association with Channel M and SKV Communications.

Fitting in with Manchester's vision of 'Original Modern', Marketing Manchester decided to publish their annual report in a different medium to the norm - and chose to use a video which can be distributed across many platforms to highlight all the achievements of that year.

Using footage shot by crews from Channel M, we brought it all together using Avid and After Effects to tell Manchester's story of 2008 - 2009 in a fast moving presentation.

doodledoMOTION goes travelling with Paul Merton

At the moment, we're working on graphics for a new Paul Merton documentary series to go out in a few months time on Five.

Following on from his highly successful series where he travelled across India and China, he's exploring a lot closer to home in his new Tiger Aspect show - 'Paul Merton in Europe'.

We successfully made it through two rounds of pitches against a couple of London companies, and are working closely with the series producer and directors to provide a distinctive title sequence, and complimentary maps to be used across all six episodes.

Denton Community College

Doodledo Motion were asked by North West agency MC2 to produce a brand video for Denton Community College, to unveil to the community the new logo which was chosen by the students, and also to outline the college's specialisms and academic strengths.

We developed the look for the video using elements from the new logo to reinforce the new branding, and produced a piece which reflects the ethos of the new college.

Using a mixture of live action, keyed footage of the students taking part in activities, presentation by headteacher Nick Condliffe, and set in a 3D world with moving light streaks, dM came up with a dynamic promotional video which will be able to be used in many different forms.
