Brief

To produce titles and graphics for a major BBC2 7 part series covering different genre of British Film.

 

Solution

An animated sequence (produced with Alan Smith) that takes us throught the 7 genre of British Film through iconic scenes. For example, social realism is depicted by Billy Elliot dancing, the racing minis of the Italian Job conveyed thriller and the dam busters for War.

The colour palette was limited to a faded red white and blue with an archival treatment reminiscent of Saul Bass titles.
